The loyalty app that rewards advocacy

We’re almost ready to launch our new B2B-SaaS-with-consumer-app product IndiStamp for a pilot in Bristol. We’re stepping into a busy and well-trodden space but we believe the market is big enough to take a new arrival with a different focus.

Loyalty stamp cards as a customer retention tool are well proven. App-based versions of these are also well understood.

Two large players in this space are Squid and Embargo, both venture-backed to the tune of millions of Euros. But we think these apps aren’t hitting the right spot with some consumers and vendors, and we think there’s a gap for us.

Yes we have loyalty cards, and stamps are still the fundamental rewards currency, but we’re using stamps to reward advocacy too. Who best to create growth than the customers that love you and want you to grow? They introduce their friends to your independent business and everyone gets rewarded. Growth. New customers. New customers who might recommend more new customers. The maths is actually quite compelling if we get the messaging and behaviour right.

And that ‘independent’ bit is important. Our platform is very strictly independents only. IndiStamp is a purpose-led business, not profit-led. Our purpose is to help independents grow, and we’re building a sustainable business to maximise our impact. We strongly believe this is a message our vendors and our users will subscribe to, encouraging adoption, use and advocacy.

So how are we different?

Rewarding advocacy, not just loyalty.
Your customers already love you. They love independent business. They want you to grow. If they know that every stamp helps you grow, and every recommendation helps you grow even more, they’ll become your army of advocates.

Strictly independents only.
No chains allowed. Independents only. It’s our purpose and will be strictly enforced. Every vendor and every user knows that this is a platform or indpendents and its whole purpose is to strengthen independents and help them fight high-street globalisation and bland-isation.

Totally frictionless user onboarding.
User sign up takes literally seconds. We ask nothing of the user up front. You don’t need to know their age, gender etc to be able to communicate with them in-app. These low barriers increase adoption and win trust.

Privately owned, family owned, no venture funding.
We’re a tiny family-owned business who just happen to have the skills to build and launch IndiStamp. No investors, no lenders, no six-figure build costs, which means we can be…

…Priced for purpose, not for profit
Pricing will be decided after our pilot, but it will be based on purpose, not profit. Purpose-led businesses ask themselves “What impact do we want to make, and how can we build a sustainable business around it?”.

No price banding.
You won’t be penalised for growth. Just a simple low monthly price per store, regardless of number of users.

What else?

  • performance data
  • customer campaigns and in-app messaging (CRM)
  • insanely good support over WhatsApp
  • point-of-sale materials to increase adoption
  • 3 months free trial to prove it works

Will our product and messaging land with users and vendors? We think so. Stay tuned.
